Here, are our reviews on the Best monitor for RTX 20 Series ends. Now let’s get some know-how about other things as well.

Factor Consider when Buying RTX 20 SERIES Monitor

List a few things you should look at before making a final decision to buy the best monitor for RTX 20 SERIES.

Things to consider

Resolution

It is important to consider the resolution of a monitor before you make a purchase for your RTX 2080 Super or ti. Resolution is basically the quality of an image presented on a digital screen. The high resolution of a monitor means that it offers more pixels displaying more visual information. The higher the resolution, the clearer and sharper the image on the screen. The average resolution is considered to be of 1080p which is most of the monitors.

Refresh rate

The refresh rate of a monitor means the number of times an image on the screen is refreshed. The higher refresh rate of a monitor will result in smoother gameplay. There is no visual difference but if your competitors have a lower refresh rate than yours, it will give you an advantage in the game as higher refresh rates bring more accuracy. 144Hz or higher is considered to be a good refresh rate.

Response time

The response time of a monitor is the amount of time any monitor takes to switch from one color to another. Lower response time is considered to be better as it would result in better graphics quality. The average response time which is considered to be good enough for a monitor is 5ms or less.

Contrast ratio

A good contrast ratio is extremely important for better picture quality. The contrast ratio is the difference between any monitor’s brightest pixels and darkest pixels. A higher contrast ratio makes the dark colors of a screen darker and bright colors brighter. The higher the contrast ratio is, the lower stress it will be on your eyes.

Adaptive sync

Adaptive sync helps in adjusting the refresh rate according to the frame rate. Adaptive sync of a monitor should be considered before choosing your monitor because it helps with the main part while playing. Adaptive sync helps in avoiding screen tearing and stuttering. I considered it as “main ” because every gamer knows how irritating it gets when the screen stutters during the game.

Viewing angle

The viewing angle can be vertical and horizontal. However, horizontal viewing angles are more important as most used. A horizontal viewing angle of a monitor should be the best of all and it should show the greatest quality image. However, for some gamers, vertical viewing angles are important.

G-sync

G-sync is a monitor syncing technology that works together with Nvidia GPUs like the RTX 2080. It synchronizes the mismatched frame rates of a monitor and a GPU. This helps in a smooth gaming experience with no drops in FPS, reduced screen tearing, and no input lags.

Bezels

Bezels are a part of a frame on the monitor used for protection. A slim bezel is considered ideal because it results in more screen space without making it huge. There are no-bezel monitors but buying them should be avoided as it will only result in inconvenience.

VESA support

VESA is short for Video Electronics Standards Association which is an internationally recognised standard with the help of which you can attach your monitor screens on walls or different surfaces. Vesa support is important in a monitor as it can give you a variety of options to set up your monitor in any place or on any wall without much hindrance.

Panel type

The panel type of a monitor tells what kind of tasks it can achieve. Every monitor has different panel types which are suited for different types of games.

Size

Monitor size is important to consider because all other features of a monitor are dependent on its size. Bigger monitors tend to have wider displays whereas smaller monitors have high refresh rates. Each has its own pros and cons.

Connectivity

The connectivity of a monitor is important because it gives options to connect to different sources like HDMI, VGA, DVI, Display ports, etc. The more connectivity options there are the better it is for a gamer as it would give him a variety of options to choose on which source he would prefer his display to be or which of them are giving him the best performance based on his computer specifications.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the science behind providing the best support and a safe environment while working or doing a task. Monitors should be designed in such a way that their screens could be aligned to the user’s eye level. This can prevent the risks of back and neck pain and is an important aspect, especially for gamers as when they game for long durations they can develop seriously bad posture, fatigue, and eye strain.

Price

It is important to check if a monitor is worth its price or not. If the monitor is offering premium features then its price must be high. You must have detailed knowledge about all the features mentioned above to know if the demanding price of a monitor is valid or not. Apart from that, by the price of a computer, you can judge which monitor is in your budget.
